Fun fact of the day: The Volkswagen Tiguan gets its name from combining the words “tiger” and “leguan” (German for “iguana”). The Lane Keeping System comes standard on the VW Tiguan SEL and SEL Premium R-Line models. This enables the system’s camera to identify lane markings when the car is above 40 MPH. It will give an audible warning if the car begins to stray from the lane and also countersteer to keep the car in its proper lane.
The VW Tiguan also has a safety feature called High Beam Control (Light Assist), which comes standard on the VW Tiguan SEL Premium R-Line. It automatically switches the high beams on in dark or poorly lit areas.
